Madie is the general manager at 112 Wine and Coffee Shoppe, but also fills in as a bookseller at Boxcar Books and Vinyl. Madie graduated from the University of Illinois with her BA in English and then continued on to get her MA in Education. She taught English Language Arts at Hoopeston Area Middle School and Hoopeston Area High School before managing 112 Wine and Coffee Shoppe.
Madie is an avid reader of historical fiction, young adult fantasy, and science fiction. She is always reading at least three books at time: an audiobook, a non-fiction or historical fiction book, and a fantasy novel. Madie may not fly through books very quickly, but reading each book is an experience that she wouldn't trade for anything. Some of Madie's favorite reading experiences have been reading the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, listening to several Kate Quinn books while frying donuts at the bakery, and reading Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone with her 8th graders.
