Anna is a freshman at Danville Area Community College studying business, with plans to one day open her own esthetician salon.
She has always been passionate about reading and finds joy in discovering new stories to share with others. Her favorite genres are Romance, Fiction, and Mystery, though she enjoys exploring a little bit of everything. Some of her favorite reads include Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros, More of Less Maddy by Lisa Genova, and The Only One Left by Riley Sager.
When she's not at the bookstore, Anna enjoys spending time at Disney World an working on creative projects.

Carole is a wife, mother of two daughters, and grandmother of two granddaughters, one of whom also works at Boxcar Books & Vinyl.
Carole may look familiar to some of you--she is a retired Registered Nurse who worked locally at Carle HRHC for 40 years.
Her favorite hobby is reading, especially the genres of Historical Fiction, fiction, Romance, and Mystery. The Women and The Nightingale, both by Kristin Hannah are two of her favorite reads.
Carole really enjoys interacting with customers, and would love to help you find your next perfect book, gift, or vinyl.
Emily is the owner of Boxcar Books and Vinyl and 112 Wine and Coffee Shoppe, and proud granny of June and Genevieve.
It has been her lifelong dream to surround herself with books in every aspect of her life. Thanks to her hardworking family and a supportive customer base, she has been able to make that dream a reality. Emily worked as an educator for 22 years, teaching preschool, first grade, and working as Curriculum Director for Hoopeston Area School District.
Emily loves all genres in fiction and non-fiction, but finds herself choosing titles in literary fiction, historical fiction, fantasy, and memoirs. Follow her on Storygraph @shopboxcarbooks for updates on what she is reading!
The name of the bookstore was inspired by Emily's love of the Boxcar Children series.

Mitzi is a retired educator. She graduated from Illinois Wesleyan with a BA in Elementary Education and received her master's degree from Walden University in English Language Arts. She taught at both Milford and Sheldon grade schools, spending many years teaching 5th grade ELA, but ending her career in visual arts.
Mitzi spends much of her free time reading, creating custom art pieces and murals, and pursuing health and fitness goals.
An avid reader, she enjoys many genres but gravitates towards literary fiction, self-help, and historical fiction. Mitzi has a vast knowledge in children’s literature, especially intermediate grade literature.

Madie is June and Genevieve's mom and our bookstore manager, working one day a week at the store and during special events. She completes all the ordering and behind the scenes work during nap time.
Before becoming June & Genevieve's mom, Madie graduated from the University of Illinois with her BA in English and then continued on to get her MA in Education at Western Governor's University. She directed Project Success at Hoopeston Area Middle School for 1 year, taught English Language Arts at Hoopeston Area Middle School and Hoopeston Area High School for 4 years, then managed 112 Wine and Coffee Shoppe.
Madie reads many board books and picture books with June and Genevieve who have a shelf of their favorite books located in the Children's Section. Their favorite reads during this first year of life have been The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom both by Julia Donaldson, Click Clack Moo Cows That Type by Doreen Cronin, and The Pout Pout Fish by Deborah Diesen.
When Madie finds time to read books on her own, she tends to venture towards the fantasy and historical fiction sections, but enjoys a good literary fiction or romance novel. Some of her recent favorites include Road to Tender Hearts by Annie Hartnett, Pictures of You by Emma Grey, and The Briar Club by Kate Quinn.
Amber is a wife and mother with a son and a daughter. In her free time, Amber likes to read, play video games, and listen to music.
Amber loves all genres but usually reads thrillers, mysteries, fantasy, and horror. Her favorite books include the Stephanie Plum Series by Janet Evanovich, The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, and the Assistant To the Villain Series by Hannah Nicole Maehrer.
She loves to interact with customers and is eager to make recommendations of both vinyl records and books.
